Today we investigated flow rate of various substances.  We conducted a lab comparing 5 substances.  Water, Alcohol, Motor Oil, Glycerol and Canola Oil.  Students have to use the Particle Model to explain the different flow rates of each substance.

Today, in Math we looked at using Order of Operations strategies to simplify Integer expressions and solve problems.

In science we investigated factors that affect the rate of dissolving by doing the 'Candy is Dandy' lab.  Students dissolved M&M's 3 different ways in their mouths to discover these factors.

In science we introduced the concept of solutions and dissolving.  We compared the concentration of different solutions using equivalent ratios of mass and volume.
